Practical information to reach the estancia without hassle.
📍Where it is
Route 40 and Paso del Río La Leona
Where the La Leona river leaves Lake Viedma, about 3 km from Parador La Leona: the same Route 40 road that leads to El Chaltén. From the airport it takes about an hour and a half to Parador La Leona and, with the final gravel stretch, about 2 hours in total.
✈️Flight coordination
FTE airport → estancia
With your flight number we follow the arrival in real time. If it is delayed, we wait and leave as soon as you have your bags.
🧳Luggage
Up to 4 passengers per vehicle
Each passenger's standard luggage fits. Traveling with large bags or bulky gear? Tell us when booking and we will plan the vehicle. The last 3 km or so are on gravel: we secure the luggage well and drive carefully.
👥Larger groups
5 to 8 passengers = 2 vehicles
You travel in 2 vehicles at the same time, paying the rate of each vehicle. For more than 8 passengers, message us and we will arrange it.
🕐Timing
Whenever you need
We set the departure time around your flight or your schedule at the estancia, including first thing in the morning from the airport, or early enough to catch your flight.

🏡What is at the estancia? Estancia La Estela offers lodging, horseback riding, fishing, rafting, archery and biking. All of that is booked directly with the estancia; we provide the private transfer there and/or back.
